Been a while since I've posted anything. Not that I've been straying from my artistic side, it's just difficult when most of the art your produce (for work), generally can't be shown off in public. I've got a number of personal projects on the go, some close to completion, but I felt that I should post some stuff in the mean time.

Anyways, this is a model I've been working on. First time I've been going for a fairly realistic accurate human model. The model itself was great fun, but I've been finding the shader work pretty difficult, trying to fine tune a SSS shader to work well with a general lighting solution. I like what I've got now, but it's not terribly flexible outside of an HDRI dome, so I'll have to keep working.

And if anyone thinks it, she doesn't have any hair yet, the hair that's there is just in the texture and is only meant to be part of the skull cap.

Modelled in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray with HDRI and Final Gather.
